Pokémon Mega Dream Reveal
Big news for Pokémon Trading Card Game fans, Creatures Inc. has officially announced a livestream for next Friday at 7 PM Japan time, promising not one but two major updates for the Pokémon TCG’s MEGA series.
While details are still under wraps, it’s almost certain this broadcast will feature the long-awaited Pokémon Mega Dream Reveals, including the debut of MEGA Dream ex, this year’s highly anticipated High Class Pack set. Scheduled to release on November 28th, MEGA Dream ex is expected to showcase the powerful Mega Dragonite ex as its flagship card.
The livestream will also likely unveil the Start Deck 100 Battle Collection, arriving shortly after on December 9th.
Historically, High Class Pack sets and Start Decks have both been unveiled through official livestreams, so this announcement fits right in with past TCG reveal traditions.
A Delayed but Exciting Reveal
What’s interesting this year is that the Pokémon Mega Dream Reveals are happening later than usual. In 2023, the Terastal Festival ex set had already been announced by late October, complete with English branding and promotional materials.
This slower schedule might be intentional. With Pokémon Legends: Z-A still making waves, The Pokémon Company could be pacing out announcements to give the video game side of the franchise time to breathe before shifting focus back to the Trading Card Game.
Early Hints and Teasers
The existence of MEGA Dream ex was first uncovered in June, when sharp-eyed fans spotted trademark filings under that name in Japan. Just weeks later, at the Pokémon World Championships, official teasers confirmed what many had already suspected: Mega Dragonite ex would be the star of the upcoming set.
Several new cards, including the striking Mega Attack Rares, were also shown in English, though their set symbols were deliberately left blank, hinting that they belonged to a yet-to-be-announced expansion. With the upcoming livestream, we’ll finally see the full reveal of those cards and learn more about how they’ll fit into the TCG meta.
What to Expect from the Pokémon Mega Dream Reveals
If previous livestreams are anything to go by, fans can look forward to:
A first look at MEGA Dream ex cards and mechanics
High-quality previews of full-art and special rarity cards
Potential reveals of additional Mega Evolutions
Insights into deck themes from the upcoming Start Deck 100 Battle Collection
Collectors are already speculating that more fan-favorite Mega Evolutions, like Mega Lucario, Mega Tyranitar, or even Mega Gardevoir, could appear in the set. Whether or not those predictions come true, it’s clear that MEGA Dream ex will close out 2025 with a nostalgic nod to the beloved Mega Evolution era.
The Countdown Begins
With the Pokémon Mega Dream Reveals set for next Friday, excitement is quickly building across the TCG community. Between the promise of stunning new cards, the return of Mega mechanics, and the usual surprises these streams deliver, this event is shaping up to be one of the year’s biggest moments for Pokémon collectors and players alike.
