The wait is almost over—Inferno X is set to launch this Friday in Japan, but fans are already sharing images of the set’s secret rares across social media. The reveals confirm a stacked lineup of Pokémon, Trainer cards, and powerful Mega Evolution ex cards that are sure to get collectors excited.
Full Secret Rare Lineup
The Japanese set features cards numbered #081–#116, with highlights including both beloved classics and new favorites:
Pokémon: Ludicolo, Nymble, Charcadet, Dewgong, Piplup, Yamper, Zacian, Flygon, Toxtricity, Togedemaru, Wigglytuff, Ambipom
Mega Evolution ex: Mega Heracross ex, Mega Charizard X ex, Mega Sharpedo ex, Mega Lopunny ex
Other Pokémon ex: Oricorio ex, Rotom ex, Mismagius ex, Empoleon ex
Trainers & Items: Switch, Heat Burner, Sacred Charm, Punk Helmet, Grimsley’s Move, Dawn, Firebreather, Battle Colosseum
Special Energy: Ignition Energy
Several cards, including Mega Charizard X ex, Rotom ex, Oricorio ex, and Dawn, appear multiple times due to their Special Illustration Rare (SIR) variants.
What This Means for Phantasmal Flames
As previously reported, our upcoming Phantasmal Flames set will merge cards from Inferno X with the Mega Gengar & Diancie decks. Here’s how the reveals connect to our English release:
Inferno X contains 12 Illustration Rares (technically 11, since Charcadet is being used as the Elite Trainer Box promo).
That leaves two missing Illustration Rares for the English set. The most likely candidates? The unreleased Meowth and Paldean Wooper promos from last year’s Starter Deck Generations Special Battle Set.
When it comes to Special Illustration Rares, TPCi has teased “five special illustration rare Mega Evolution ex and Supporter cards.” While the official wording isn’t quite accurate—since Rotom and Oricorio aren’t Megas—the most probable lineup for English includes:
Mega Charizard X ex
Mega Sharpedo ex
Mega Lopunny ex
Rotom ex
Dawn
Notably, Oricorio ex will almost certainly be shifted to promo status, appearing in the Mega Charizard X ex Ultra-Premium Collection.
What’s Missing?
If you’re holding out for Mega Gengar ex or Mega Diancie ex Special Illustration Rares, don’t expect them to appear here. Since both Pokémon were released only in deck products, it looks like they won’t be getting SIR treatment in Japan or internationally.
But the excitement doesn’t stop here—November brings us the highly anticipated MEGA Dream ex, ensuring even more Mega Evolution spotlight in the months ahead.
🔥 With Inferno X dropping in just days, collectors and players alike are gearing up for one of the most stacked Pokémon TCG releases of the year. Which secret rare are you most excited to pull?
