On September 13, 2024, the Pokémon TCG's latest Japanese subset, Paradise Dragona, made its grand debut. As the seventh release in the Scarlet & Violet era, this set focuses heavily on Dragon-type Pokémon while featuring some fan-favorite non-dragon species and trainers. Set to complement the upcoming October release of Supercharged Breaker, the two sets together form the Japanese equivalent of the highly anticipated English expansion, Surging Sparks, coming in November.

In a fun nod to the Lunar Calendar’s Year of the Dragon in 2024, Paradise Dragona serves up an array of Dragon-type Pokémon, from classics to underappreciated gems. Whether your favorite Dragon Pokémon missed out on Dragon Majesty or Dragon Storm during the Sun & Moon era, there's hope it will appear in this one!
Paradise Dragona also continues the trend from its predecessor set, Stellar Miracle, featuring Stellar Tera Pokémon excards—special variants that collectors are eager to chase. Additionally, the set offers something special for fans of Gen III’s Legendary Dragons: Latios and Latias appear in cards that connect to create a stunning sunset scene, perfect for connecting art collectors.
